The SEC has charged venture capitalist, William Del Biaggio, with fraud. He is charged with defrauding investors and using the proceeds to buy his $25M share in the NHL's Nashville Predators. Using his clients' assets as collateral, he was able to obtain $100M in loans. He also forged documents to obtain $45M in loans.
